    Vander

    A technologist and serial entrepreneur who speaks five languages, Van der has 30 years of experience in the international high-tech industry, before moving on to international finance and fintech.

    Van der left his native Netherlands in 1985 to attend university in Taiwan and has lived in Asia ever since.

    Since coming to Asia, he has co-founded several IT companies in both hardware design and development as well as software and has been central in the early development of several key technologies through his businesses (embedded systems, video streaming, IPTV, digital TV, web-based applications and digital marketing). During the dot-com bubble, he was a frequent speaker on open source technologies at technology conferences as a co-founder of one of the most advanced embedded Linux companies at the time. He has held senior management positions in several large private and public companies in IT, distribution, manufacturing and is currently an executive director of a Chinese automotive group and a Hong Kong venture capital firm.

    In early 2021, Van der joined Tidalex as its CEO/co-founder and formed a holding company focused on developing and investing in new FinTech and Big Data related technologies, implementing strict AML/KYC rules through self-developed systems, and successfully working with banking partners, regulators and law enforcement agencies to promote innovation and new developments in the FinTech field.

    Van der is also a lecturer at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTSTU) and a guest lecturer at National Taiwan University (Blockchain and Regulation).

    Fan attended National Taiwan Normal University from 1985 to 1988.
